SAMPLE PREPARATION

Preparation of samples for analytical studies

Sample preparation ensures uniformity of the material and correct preparation of samples to obtain reliable analytical results.

Material homogenization

Preparation of the sample to a homogeneous state for subsequent analysis.

Different types of samples

Work with slurry, core, furrow and other geological samples.

Control at stages

The quality of training is monitored at each stage of the laboratory process.

Analytical sample

At the output, the customer receives a prepared analytical sample and, if necessary, a duplicate.

About sample preparation

The purpose of sample preparation is to homogenize the sample material and open the mineral particles before further analytical study.

In laboratory practice, different types of geological samples are used: slurry, core, furrow and others. Each type of sample is processed according to its own scheme, which may include crushing, grinding, cutting, abrasion and other material preparation operations.

For example, the processing of core samples begins with sawing the core marked by geologists along the axis. After that, the material goes through further stages of preparation in accordance with the scheme provided by the geological service of the customer.

The quality of geological sample preparation is monitored at each stage of the process and monitored by the laboratory's engineering staff. Based on the results of sample preparation, an analytical sample is formed, and if necessary — a duplicate for additional control or repeated studies.
